For those of you who loved the Don Ross concert that we held here last week, here is one of his CDs that you might want to check out.

And keep your eye on this blog, as Don will be doing a class for the guitar students (it's also open to non Dal students). It will probably be happening sometime in February, 2010. We'll post an announcement.

I really like this cd

I've had this cd a week and already I wake up in the morning with these wonderful melodies playing in my head. The tunes are infectious and his technique is amazing. If you like fingerstyle guitar, I would venture to say you would like this. If you don't have any fingerstyle guitar in you music collection, this would be a very nice start.

Before I listen to Don's album, I already knew that after Michael Hedges the acousic guitar textures is going to a much wider zone than ever, but Don is absolutely amazing, you have to listen to his album if you like acousitc guitar, there is more creative space for him to lead, what more you can get from acoustic guitar solo?
Amazing CD!

This CD is just amazing. I saw him live a little while ago and he is the most amazing guitar player I ever saw. Go out and get this CD!
Pure and Powerful Guitar

If you are a fan of the late Michael Hedges, you will greatly enjoy this CD. While by no means a clone of Hedges, Ross draws the same energy and dynamic range of tones from his instrument. The production quality is clean and there is not a less than superb track on the CD. I am looking forward to his next project. BTW, I hope Ross can NOT sing--I've never gotten over the loss of George Benson's guitar in favor of his voice.

Buy it. Plays a 7 string baritone guitar for an interesting twist. One of the best finger-stylists today.
